I can't delete my messages

After you mark a message as deleted you must Empty the Trash.
This is a two step process for your safety. Once the trash is emptied there is absolutely no way to recover a message. You would probably be surprised by the number of requests we get to recover messages after the trash has been emptied but it is just not possible. When you empty the trash, it's gone!
There is a method avialable via the app and the website to lock or protect messages for accidental deletion. Select the message to see the options which vary based on device.
If you are a risk taker or confident in your decisions you can set the Empty on Exit setting in the app.
Free accounts that are inactive are automatically purged after 90 days regardless of status of a message.
